Some people are just nasty! If mine ever got that long I would surely catch them on something and bend them back... not to mention the hygiene aspect.

If it had a Hughes module, he'd be all set.

Anyway, I bet we will see this get listed again.

Living in L.A. I'm familiar with the tale.... but I never realized they smoke! What brand is that guy puffin' on?
If he's from California, then it's probably "medical" marijuana.

Well, at $125 for a bandless BUlova with a nicked up crystal and case, I guess the buyer had their blood drained all right. Which is the main feature of Chupacabra attacks...blood drained from the victims.

As a part time musician, I keep my nails ridiculously short....I'l use a hygienic plastic pick, thank you.

I'm of the general opinion that having a body part in a picture of a watch for sale is generally not a good idea. Hairy arms & hands, cracked skin, stains, sores, etc. - hard for any of that stuff to look decent compared to a non-organic watch. I also hold to this theory that guys in particular don't like seeing a potential watch on another guy's arm......it correlates to how most guys don't REALLY want to see a picture of their woman on her ex's arm. We know she isn't freshly minted, but don't make us think about it.

I have to wonder if the wide price fluctuations aren't just due to the economy riding up and down. First,, almost all world economies were seriously rocked, now there are pockets of growth and even larger area of stabilization. So I think there are occasional people who are in a; "wow, I've dodged the economic bullet, think I will buy myself a new bubble to convince myself life is really is good" mode. My lower(<$300) end items have stagnated, yet people seem to appear out of the mist, buy a pricier item, and then disappear back into the world. Never to be a forum-visiting collector or anything like that, just got their "gold" and are happy with that.

What is up with Australian buyers lately(they do have a large British influence :-) )? I've done tons of business with them lately.

I've been a bit absent here...got a finger infection, then a nasty cold(type that has you shivering under a thick blanket while sweating ~:( :~# ). Popping in /out of the forum has been all I could muster until today.

Australia has largely avoided the GFC. It's one of the few economies in the world to do so. The media put's it down to the large resource "boom" that China is driving. They basically buy all of our coal, iron, zinc, copper etc. Combined with the 10 years of very conservative economic management prior to the GFC, it left us in a position to withstand the problems. The current government would have us believe it was the rapid stimulus package that was rolled out. Maybe this was a factor too.

So, I can expect to see a flood of LED watches on people's wrists in the future !! I must admit I've never seen anyone except me with one on (in the last 30-odd years anyway).

Rgds.

Moving right along. :-) what's up with this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 500wt_1156

I mean this is a bottom of the barrel LED and terribly scratched at that. I seriously have to consider going back to the auction format. Of course it's really only two bidders that are duking it out.

Never mind. :-?
