Had two ends of the spectrum on ebay last week. I bought a beat up lot of four watches (two lcd SSQ's, a Litronix led and an Armitron led) and a Bulova Computron (none driver style). Both lots were bargains but the Bulova seller said that it was in great condition and had been running fine for weeks whereas the other seller said that he thought the watches were probably just junk.
All four of the "junk" lot are running great. The Litronix (time only and two setting buttons - so bad it's almost good) is immaculate. It's also the first Litronix I've ever come across which comes near keeping decent time. Even better, the Armitron has a module in it that I've been after for ages.
The Bulova looks like its been in a tumble dryer full of bricks and the hours don't seem to adhere to any rules of counting (8, 12, 6, etc).
Ebay's a bit of a lottery sometimes isn't it?
