I'd have to agree with pigeon that there was no real harm done(other than you might have sold it a bit cheap, due to sentimental reasons....I do that too occasional). I've sold him several items in last year, under more than one of his alias' - I keep telling myself it is a shame the people who buy the items don't just buy them directly from me, since he is always making $50-100 on each one.
The disturbing thing is his game of spouting off "hey, there's a great Omega for sale...", when really it is HIS sale. I've told him before, there is no reason to hide who you are. Just say, hey, I've just put an Omega up for sale, here is the number/link". n If he has boxed it, it is a minor upgrade. And on any given day, prices can vary a lot.
Guess I'm thinking it isn't a crime against the collecting community as much as a crime against sanity. He has to live with it. He could be developing a reputation for selling decent watches in the UK, but is so busy hiding that nobody knows who he is.
