"...but you do have to press the button numerous times for the time to display"

Gee, probably since it has a modern day module in it?

Hi
Somegthing quite strange about this watch, notice the display, numerals enclosed within red outline!. Ed Canterella on Retroleds has a TC1 for sale and it sure does not look like this.In addition no date displayed-why if you are trying to sell this watch as a TC1 I figure all relavent numerals should displayed for prospective buyers.
No OMega logo and missing wording OMEGA on the crystal, I reckon this watch has had a gold plating job done on it with a few light scractche thrown in to give it authenticity . Also having to press the button a few times to get the time is a real give away that this bird has some serious internal problems, back of watch has never been off?
This sure is an EBAY watch for sure!!!!!

It looks like someone has taken a modern module from another watch (what modern watch uses that kind of display? At the moment the only one that comes in my mind is the Majestyk and Megalaser's TX4) and stuffed it into the case of a TC1. And from what it seems the module contacts don't work properly with the button, since the description says that in order to see the time the command button must be pressed more than once. It sounds just like a massive scam to me. :-?

EDIT: Gladly the auction has been retired. :-)

Looks like a module from out of one of the many ultra cheap rubbish coming from the far East, item numbers 300742178986 or 120950163528 for instance.

True, I remember there was on Ebay a Pulsar P3 replica with that kind of display some time ago. It looked horrible! (And almost unreadable) :~#

Not from the Majestyk watch...I would have noticed that right away. It uses a lower quality display.

Are you sure that the seller did not photoshop the picture to show a working watch? Funny if the highest bidder would get a totally original watch as described indeed.

Hanno.
