This seller is a story teller?
My thoughts:
Its a replacement Speidel band with an HP logo added. HP logo is most likely Sterling and Gold, G.F., or all Solid Gold...Usually if you pry off the added emblem...You will see the Gold, Sterling, or G.F. marks on its backside.
The watch is an Armitron.
Most likely it was used as a "Years of Service" award for an employee of HP.

Nice watch with some possible bonus gold to scrap?

Again...Just my thoughts

I've scrapped a few service pins and emblems, and this HP added logo looks no different...All I $ee is the GOLD
Heck, I could put this watch band on a Pulsar P3, and say that Hewlett Packard partnered up with Time Computer

It got my attention also, since the day it was posted for sale.
I contacted the seller about the origen, documentation or any additional info and this is what i got ..."THE WATCH CAME FROM A FRIEND THAT WAS AN EXECUTIVE AT HP. THE WATCH WAS NEVER PRODUCED. I WILL SEE IF I CAN GET SOME DOCUMENTS BUT I HAVE NOT SPOKED TO THE FRIEND FOR A WHILE"...
