Hi, Guys.
Thanks for allowing me to sign up to your forum with a distinctly non-digital username. Think that one may have had Ed scratching his head.
My name's Paul; I'm from the south-west of England, and I collect .... 1980's vintage Seiko 7A38-xxxx 15J quartz
analogue chronographs.
I've got quite a large and diverse collection; some of you may have read some of my ramblings on the UK RLT forum, where I generally hang out.
But I have got one or two LCD watches, besides all those 7A38's.
And in case anybody is wondering where my signature quote comes from ....
it was this 1986 Seiko TV advert, featuring a 7A38-7120:

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable.
Some watches simply aren't made to last.
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion.
Some day, perhaps, all watches will be made this way.
