New collector

Post24 Jan 2015, 07:34

Hello ,

First time poster here . I'm fairly new to watch collecting but I've been a fan of digital watches since I was a child . I've been picking up a few here and a few there over the last couple of years , trying my hand at minor clean up and repairs . I like vintage , modern , LEDs , and LCDs . None super rare or expensive yet I'm afraid . My vintage are mostly well worn and common . Texas Instruments , Timex , National Semiconductor and so on .

I've visited the site many times . Any search of vintage watches always lead me here , it only made sense to finally join your great community .

One box of goodies :

Welcome to the board. That's a nice collection. Thanks for posting these shots.
They are all less or more the same classic round style. I can see you're getting addicted :-D

I do prefer the look of the round face . Simple , but they still grab attention . I am very addicted at this point . I can''t get enough .

Some good ones here . My 2 Bulova solid states and a few Casios , and a couple of Phasar/Seikos .

Nice collection. You sure do favor the vintage ones!

Have you tried any modern Casios? The functionality sure is great.

Thanks ! As far as Casios go , I have a couple of them newer than the photos , but nothing really new . I have given several Pathfinders and a Waveceptor to my nephews though over the last few years .
These are the newest :

I would like to get a nice G-Shock one of these days or maybe a Pathfinder . What models would you recommend ?

By the way , that's a great collection that you have . Another fan of Russian watches I see .
A few of my own :

The digital is a really cool Russian melody watch .
