my omega tc1 showing 0 when i put baterys in help

hi can this be fixed i have a mint really mint omega tc1 i put baterys in today first time when baterys are in 0 comes up on screan it will not go out it stays on but nothing happens just 0 can this be fixed

Looks like an oscillator fault, could be a defective quartz crystal.
