He wants both stainless steel - what is the base metal
MY BAD! Well, he indicated silver...if he wants stainless on the Bulova COmputron(I am assuming again, that we are talking about a driver's) it will be a long wait. The silver one's are chrome plated base metal/jewelers brass...more zinc, less copper than common red brass.

My turn for a 'my bad' he states silver, not stainless steel, I just assumed that the silver coloured digitrend was stainless steel I have a tendency to consider anything silver coloured as stainless steel even when it's chrome plated.

I have a tendency to remember right about the time I blow through the plating on an otherwise flawless piece. Solid stainless is worth some extra change, just like solid wood or solid gold.
