Citizen 9010A display needed

Post03 Aug 2013, 22:52

Im looking for a working (all digits) Citizen 9010 A display. Preferable with a good polarizing filter, but vague digits are welcome too.
Thanks in advance!

Which model do you have? I dont have a spare lcd but am in the process of restoring one and really like to know how the glass fits as mine has no glass and put together everything seems to fit so flush I cant see how it would fit.

Also if anyone has the correct bracelet or a very good faceplate would be willing to trade something or buy.

Apologies for stealing thread a little.

Adam

Hey Adam, no problem at all you ask your question. I hope the picture below is helpful; on the left the outer shell, then the caseback and the crystal, on the right in a plastic bag the gasket.
Best regards

So do you thing the glass is just glued to the metal bezel? I might have to beg a friend for some help in cutting a new one.

any chance of a real close up of the glass connecting to the metal.

many many thanks

Hi,
Like the older Seiko models with similar crystals; the crystal is glued on a metal bezel. I think making a new one and glue it to your bezel can be done without too many troubles.

Wanna trade my crystal for your lcd panel?

Kidding ;)

All the early seiko models are glued i to their respective holders. 0624 and 0634 for instance. This seems to be glued to an outer edge. I can provide photos if necessary.

Quietman do have anything to add on this? you have far superior knowledge than I have.

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Guys

Any chance of a side view of the Citizen Crystron 9010 glass bezel so I can see the thickness of the glass?

Quietman are you around? I know you have some serious knowledge of these I'd love your thoughts.
