Needed watch module...

Post27 Sep 2013, 03:10

Looking for a 29mm FRONTIER 2002 MODULE, I have a nice Mercury Time gold tone case and band to put it in.... I just have it shown for the photos to give an example of what I'm looking for. Buttons at 1 &3 o'clock...setting at 3 o'clock.Image

Please message me back if you might have something along these lines, thanks. :-D

What you are looking for is a Frontier 2002 module. It's a five function module, i.e., Hours, Min., Sec., Month & Day of the month.

I sold all I had a couple of years ago on the Bay at an average price of around $68.00 US.

LEDman793,

Don't know that I can fix the module that is presently in your watch, but willing to give it a go if your interested. The only cost to you would be the postage to an from our destinations. The Frontier 2002 modules were very susceptible to static discharge damage in the quartz oscillator circuit. There was minimal protection devices incorporated on the integrated circuit in order to reduce the static current drain from the batteries. If the problem is due to static damage, nothing can be done to correct that type of defect. If its simply a bad quartz crystal, trimmer or fixed capacitor no problem, I have those parts in my inventory. Send me a PM if you wish pursue my offer.

If you do not succeed there´s still an option as the SASM50 circuit perfectly replaces the Frontier 2002.

I got your address Joe, but before i send the module to you, I have another Frontier module that also isnt working, its in a watch I got today while I was flea marketing...I'm affraid to force it out as it seems quite snug in the case, No corrosion just a tight fit, can i just send that watch along with the other module you were going to look at? Let me know. Lets talk about the SASM50 option after you have had a chance to look at these modules. But let me know about sending that whole watch. Its a good thing i didnt send that module yet. Thanks. :-D

Joe, I sent the box out Monday, you theoretically should have it by now, but it looks like it got stuck somewhere because there is no further tracking beyond the sort facility that I left it with on Monday?? So i sent them (USPS) a message explaining my query...I'm hoping to receive some kind of an answer by email within a few days. The box is only 4"x4"....pretty small and possibly could get lost...YIKEZ!! So I just wanted to let you know.....its on its way, I HOPE!!

Ledman793,

Will let you know as soon as it arrives. If mailed from outside USA, it will go through US Customs and may sit for a few days before some Customs dude decides to pass it on.
