Wanted: Armitron Saturn, Stainless Steel

Post20 Mar 2014, 02:35

Searching for one of these for purely sentimental reasons -- this was the first digital watch I ever owned as a teenager in the 70s. Any assistance in finding one would be greatly appreciated. Image

Hi.

If you don't run across a nice one, I have a non-working one that you can have for free.

Cheers,

-abe.

Abe,

Thanks very much for your kind offer. I may take you up on it, as I haven't seen any of these come up for sale in recent history. Aside from Piotr's tear-down on crazywatches.pl, this watch doesn't seem to exist except in my memory -- and most memories of the 70s are a bit hazy, for some reason. O:-)

Please PM me, and we can arrange details.

Regards,

Brian

They do turn up on eBay, there's one on there now but it's the plated version, and with the bracelet missing.

Thanks for spotting that, Richard. The plated version isn't quite what I'm looking for, but I'll keep an eye on it. Not sure why the hot bidding on that lot -- nothing exceptional in there, but $90 & 25 bids, with a day to go?

Even sentiment has its limits. :-)

That'll be the Microma pushing the bids up.
