Battery clip 4 Zenith Defy

Post22 Mar 2014, 08:56

I just bought this Zenith Defy on the bay for about €75.
This on a hunch i might be able to repair it.
The pictures show contacts are a little rusty and the battery that is placed
was put in the wrong way and hasn't been out in all these years.
Does not appear to have battery leakage, but one can only be sure when the old battery is removed.

So it looks like it needs some TLC and a new battery clip and if i get it to work a new gasket. HELP!

Hopefully someone here can get me a replacement battery clip, if so please pm me.
:dwf:
Thanks guys/girls,
Cesar

Cesar, these battery clips for most watches can be easily cut out of a thin metal sheet with scissors. You just need a template from the original one, make it flat...cut the new in the same shape and fold it back like the original.
The problem is finding the shape of the original :-D

Kasper, what metal do you use and where do you buy it from? Sorry, I've never bought small sheets of metal before so not sure where to look. Thanks

Well i am curious what yours looks like as it is a different model.
But you don't have to open up your watch just for me though it is always wonderful to see.

I found this picture on the crazywatch website....mine should look like this one i believe.

If for any reason the person behind this website does not want me to post this picture.
Please let me know and i will remove it immediatelly.

But i am pretty sure the owner won't mind as it is for a good cause.

Thanks for the tip Kasper i will try to make one myself if nobody here has a spare one for me.
