Pulsar Case Wrench

Post05 Feb 2007, 18:21

I would like to recommend the excellent reproduction Pulsar case wrenches that Bruce Wegmann produces and makes available to collectors. The specimen that I received is very well made, and is rock-solid in its operation of removing the threaded ring on P2 case backs. It is certainly a very professional way of opening these cases, and minimizes the possibility of damaging a valued watch by having a wrench slip. This wrench won’t slip and it applies even torque to the threaded ring.

An image of this type of wrench can be found at http://ledwatch.de/agwren.jpg

This is a very worthwhile tool in my opinion. On my own Pulsars, I can’t imagine using a lesser tool from this point forward.

BTW, I have no financial interest in this item; I merely pass on my comments as a satisfied owner. Contact Bruce directly for more details.

Regards,

Digging this post up as I have to agree, it's a brilliant piece of kit and a lot cheaper than an original - if you can find one. No financial interest either.
