Elgin case wanted

Post14 Feb 2009, 01:20

Hi all,

I'am looking for a very good condition case with a glass crystal for this Elgin LED its a bit unusual as it has a three button module inside with the set button on the top left like an Armitron, if you have a spare gold or stainless case I’d be interested.

Money or trade either way, cheers... :-)

Hi Klippie

I have this very nice Elgin (only a a few minor scuffs) in original box. It's module is no good, so it is a perfect fit for you! Original box is in fair shape and missing its spring collar. Let me know if you are interested...

That looks good, yes I'am interested, can you post a picture of the side where the setting button is. There seems to be what looks like a chip on the crystal is it just the photo or a bit of fluff or something.

Thanks... :-D

Hi Klippie,

Yes the timescreen has a couple small dings at the left side. I will try to post a pic of the left side of the case later today...

Looks like a great connect.Joeywaycools Elgin watch also has a rare valuable Duchess/Hadley USA SS band ,only known to me in Bowmars(besides Synchronars). The Bowmars and Synchronars did not come with the stretchable part.I have a few BNOS Elgin Bands now that i have learned what other brand(Elgin) used these link style bands.

A similar band is at ebay for $187.00  Why was I selling better condition ones for less than $100

Peter, You are a good shopper and I am sure he settles for less than $187.00. You are correct he may do out of ebay deals and have all sorts of bands that he does deals on.

At least He knows what he has and what to ask for it.If behind closed doors he has more than one and uses the same photo, good for him but to me he sure has racked up some fee,s being stern with the BIN $187+.Take a look at all his other SS bands for sale,Analog or Digital. There just are not many listed over $125.00 for a reason.

yes, i have browsed his store. i am looking for a special gf mesh bracelet for a diamond dial longines i have. it is the kind that fits right up against the case ends on tabs that are welded to the case. i have never seen one for sale anywhere. i think it was made specially for that type of case. i have been looking for about 15+ years for one. you are burning the midnight oil tonight. hopefully potting my MKIV?. it is 11pm here in az and i am going to sleep. peter ;* ;*

Oy Vay! I sold one of those Sears with that band off my budget page, in the box....I feel like such a schmuck! Those are nice bands - looks like a linked band, pulls off in a flash like a flexy.

Klippie, if you don't have a NS case, I would be happy with a non-functional P-1 for trade....otherwise a few $ is fine.

I'am still digging around to see what I can find for you, so far I've found a Benrus, a nice shape Rodania and I'am sure there's another lurking in one of my boxes somewhere I'll post pictures of them together to see what you think.

Sorry to say I'am a bit short on non-working P1's at the moment I'am sure you'll understand me not wanting to part with the half dozen working ones that I keep under the bed... ;-)

These are what I found I checked and they will both take the thicker of the NSC modules... :-)
