hi ed,never noticed that before, why is the "humor" section members only? do you feel it wrong to unleash our geeky humor upon society??
:-D !@@!
Geekiness I am not concerned with our geekiness, more the "off-color" humor, of which I am probably the worst offender

I think it is that we have a pre-loaded group here - most have modules to spare. And round faced watches are hard to turn for much more than the value of the module, sometimes even less. Photographed nicely individually, with a description might get you a few more sales, but then we're talking a full blown website almost,eh? No easy road.

If the watches had prices you'd get a lot more interest (IMO) Imagine going to Sainsburys and finding no prices on anything, would you shop there?

At least on the forum the watches will stay on offer for as long as you want them to, with no listing time like on eBay - No charges or re-listing fees either :-D

Potentially a great deal for both buyer and seller, buyer gets a genuine watch from a reliable seller, seller avoids eBays rip off charges!

Thanks to everyone for the useful comments... :-)

I think I should have put a lot more thought into selling the watches instead of putting up pictures of a pile of watches, looking at them again I can hardly make out what any of them are never mind anyone else...

When I've a bit more time I'll set them out by makes, styles and prices.

The gallery allows you to have up as many as you want, with a description, in an album of your own - and you can put a link from your thread to the album. Then lock the thread(or ask me too, so people don't clutter it with replies).

Excellent idea 8-)

IMO I think allowing replies is better it helps keep the item fresh and promotes interest!

That's not a bad idea Mick, as long as the link to the selling album was brought down into later replies, so it wouldn't get "lost". And of course comments can be made at/in the actual album, in regards to each piece. I'm still waiting for the release of the update to that software, at which time Imageshack will not be needed here at all. I had offered the idea of members making a personal collection album and a for sale album in the gallery. A slight learning curve but then it works great...and we have TONS of server space.
