Seeking DIgitime Case

Post07 Jan 2010, 19:27

Hey All,
Anyone have a clean gold tone Digitime by Hudson Harris watch case and case back available? I am trying to replace one with a bad function button. Crystal not important,as long as the case is descent. Case has 2 function buttons, one at 2 o'clock and one at 8 o'clock, with a set button at 3 o'clock on the case. If you have what I am looking for and are willing to sell, please post price in $.

Thank you
The Nut

I think there is every possibility of finding the case you are after but I believe there are a few different types of case for this model, a photo would help identify the one that you are searching for.

Or have a browse through the site below and if it is photographed try including a link to the watch you are referring to.

Here is a photo of the watch case and back. As you can see from the photo the 8 o'clock button is, fubr! I tried to fix this one but the end pin that the button end sets on, keeping it in the case, is gone.

Anyone have what I need? Even a matching, trashed case I can use the button from, would be sufficient.

A [slightly] optomistic idea. You need to get the button out without damaging it, then you have to hope it fits correctly, both diameter and travel on pushing. The holes are slightly tapered and most of the button assemblies are less than .100"/2.54mm

I've found a couple of cases, one Helbros and the other Elgin but the casebacks are different they have a thin screw-on retaining ring, Hughes 29mm module fitting.

You mentioned the button pin is missing, did the end break off or is it only the little retaining circlip thats gone.

Klippie,
I appreciate you taking the time to look through your stock for a replacement.
To answer your question, the contact end fell off of the pusher. Unfortunately, this is the part the makes contact with the switch as well as holds the pusher in the case. I do have some cases that I found on EBay, arriving, hopefully one of them will work.
My goal with this, is to maintain it as original as possible. I have everything else, including to the original box and owners manual.
