just my 2 cents...
you can freely reply to my comment, let me know what you think? have you noticed a change in sales since the market has been flooded with cheaper watches?
Great feedback. Actually...the flood of cheap LED watches is driving an interest that promotes the awareness LEDS. There are approximately 10,000 watches available under the search "LED Watch" on ebay. If you browse them you will find that a huge percent are hybrid analog, EL or LCD. If you look further...it is clear that any modern LED only represent a limited selection that occurs in multiple listings. The same watches listed over and over. How drab. Many of these are ugly oversize 7 segment, then there are the china alloy copies of well known Japanese models (a true shame); as well as just a few unique screens and innovative time systems. We personally know the predominate factories that produce the flood of cheap LEDs and copies. But who really wants cheap LEDs (and knockoffs) from an non descript company on ebay that may or may not service well or stand behind the product. Those are not our customers. There will always be customers that want something special instead of a bargain. We have sampled and tested a lot the cheap LEDs but they have not met our standards for quality or uniqueness.
We feature watch brands that represent high quality, individuality and strength in the market place. Only brands that we can stand behind, which is something our clients appreciate.
It does not hurt that some of our brands are in thousands of stores across Europe, Asia, North America etc. Our shop is working with stores worldwide.
Regarding our sales experience? Well, we are constantly growing in selection and connnections. Each month records and goals are exceeded. If you type LED Watch into most search engines..you will find our natural result on the top of the page. Our interest and traffic is at an all time high!
All that being said. There also seems to also be an increased interest in Retro style LED watches (which is why we continue to expand our collection).
What is your take on the Vintage LED watch market? Is it stabilizing or on the rise? Should we build our Vintage category up? (I have few vintage LED watches from our beginning days (Pulsars, Hamiltons, Bulovas, Novus..etc.)....evidence of my personal passion for LEDs.
Looking forward to some great input and discussions.
Cheers!
