Pulsar PRM Module - For Sale

Post13 Jan 2011, 03:40

I have a Pulsar PRM Module "FOR SALE"

This is a "New Old Stock" Pulse Rate Module...

Yes, I do know how rare this is.... Reasonable Offers please ?

I was keeping this as a "Spare PRM Module", but I don't think I need it... and maybe there's someone in need of getting a PRM to "lite-up" again ?

It came from the Factory in Lancaster, PA in a bunch of NOS parts etc... I obtained years ago.

LED's light up !

All Segments... All digits work (see photo's).

Digits count when magnet is used on reed switches, date and time.

It seems to be stuck in "set-mode".

PRM sensor seems to operate, but tries to display time and pulse at the same time... as its stuck in set mode.

One of the photo's shows that the PRM sensor is emitting IR (as the camera picks this up). not visible of course !

I have compared this module to another working PRM I have, there is a capacitor missing from this module on the lower right. This can be seen if you lift up the sticky black cover. It's too difficult to get a photo of this ! I don't have multiple arms (I'm not going to risk peeling it off just for a photo).

I pretty confidant that anyone skilled in SMT repair with a little knowledge of Pulsar LED's should be able to get this going ? The missing component being the likely cause.

It's never been fitted in a watch, never sold... It is in excellent shape !

NO Battery Corrosion whatsoever !

Comes with the original "battery clip" and screws !

Batteries were fitted to take photo's (sticky tape and a case back used to power it up).

(The case back in NOT included and is not for sale).

PM me ? with "reasonable" offers if you are interested ?

Sold "As-Is"... No warranty of course... it's OLD !

Cheers !

Practical suggestion Ian. Cover up the sensor(not the IR emitter), as it is normally very well shrouded whilst in a case. It's no wonder the Pulse is trying to show while the time is on.

Thanks for the advice Ed !

Actually, it only tries to display "Pulse Rate" when you place your finger on the sensor... as it should.
