For Sale or Trade - Excellent Hamilton Quartz TL - LCD watch

Post28 Sep 2012, 05:32

Hi All,

I have a Hamilton TL here that needs a good home. I love this watch, but it doesn't fit my skinny wrist. The band isn't adjustable enough.

It is in excellent shape. Gently worn previously. The face is like new. There are slight signs it's been worn on the case sides and band clasp, but very minor. There is a slight scratch on the band of 2 or 3 mm, not deep. It looks great. The case is 10 k gold filled and the band is 10 k RGP. The module is pristine. The functions are Time, one button press gives you Day/Date and then it switches to Month/Date after 2 seconds, and second button press gives you Seconds.

I'm accepting reasonable offers or a trade for something equally nice. I mostly collect LED's, but a few LCD's. A Pulsar P2 or P4 is on my radar at the moment, but I like Hamilton, NSC, TI, Compu Chron and others. Let's make a deal! ;-)

Here's links to a few photos. It is a hard beast to photograph as it's so reflective and the mirrored glass is easy to smudge or collect dust. Hopefully, these do it justice. Message me if you want more photos or to make an offer.

Did I mention this watch has a built in Vampire detector? Perfect for the Halloween season. The mirrored finish of the face will sort the living from the undead, lickity split!

Seriously though, I'm still looking for a home for this guy. I'll list a few things I'm itchin' for and see if anyone can help me out.

$150 - and it's yours. I'm told this watch is likely worth more than that. I'm sure someone here will correct me if I'm wrong. ;-)

P4 - 401 Module - I've got a dead dead dead P4 (that's three deads, that's pretty bad). Got a working 401 module you'd like to transform into a handsome Hamilton? I can help!

Casiotron - I'm diggin' the Casiotrons lately. Tired of yours? Message me.

Seiko Calculator - I like Seikos and Calculator watches, but don't have that combo. Got too many? Have a Hamilton. Chicks dig it more.

Hamilton LCD - One with a more adjustable band - Yeah, I bought this 'cuz I thought it was cool, but it doesn't fit me. I would trade for another Hamilton where the band will get small enough to fit my scrawny wrist. This one only has adjustment by changing the position where the band attaches to the clasp with the spring bar. I need a slidey one with the moving clasp so I can position it anywhere on the band.

Pick one of the many options above and get an exciting fabulous watch! Got another creative option, message me.

Cheers,
Shawn

Hi Kasper,

Thanks for mentioning. I've updated my location, Canada.

I know the feeling about import costs. I spend a lot of time in Europe and the duties can be heavy in some countries. I try to restrain myself when I'm travelling. :-) It'll be easier when Canada and the EU finalise a freetrade agreement, which they are working on. Probably won't see that for a few years though.

Cheers,
Shawn

Not looking to trade off my watch, but here's exactly what your looking for:

It wasn't until after reading through this a second time that I noticed my watch band can get small enough to go around my kids wrist. I took a second look at your pictures, and I want the buckle version now... It looks much nicer to me 8-)
