1972 Waltham Walchron DSM Optel with box & instruction

Post22 Oct 2016, 12:54

Hi everybody,
since I'm going to dismantle my watch collection, here I try to sell to an enthusiast my "big one" :-D.

A 1972 Epsa Waltham Walchron DSM with Optel module, coming with its original box and instructions.

For a collector, it's useless to explain what it is.

You only have to know that this Waltham belongs also to the very first generation of modules produced with a special and unique way to conserve battery power. The digits on the display, blink every second!

This Waltham is in spectacular condition. full working, setting and keeping time. The display seems working like when it was new.
Plus, it comes with the scarce aluminum / steel box, and all the booklet and instruction sheets (maybe the hardest to find nowadays).

I leave also the original bracelet, which is now unusable because the age cracked it a little bit in the back.

The cosmetical condition of the watch are mint, it was a NOS watch until 2008.
Since that day, it has been worn very rarely. The back of the watch has few minor scratches due to battery changing. Instead, the glass is immaculate.
The steel box is in great condition, but the outer cardboard box has some wear signs.

I ask 950 €, payment with Paypal (free transfer), shipment worldwide.

Contact me for every question and don't miss this occasion :mega:.

Molto bello Ale...purtroppo non è alla mia portata ma è un pezzo di storia che non deve mancare.spero che qualcuno lo faccia suo il prima possibile.

A presto....
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Very nice! Reasonable price too, would be even better if it wasn't for the value of the £ right now, still can't see this hanging round for long.
