Early Zodiac 18K gold plated lcd more info

Post22 Mar 2011, 13:46

This just arrived through the door and I am so excited as it just worked, there was a bit of battery damage but still kicked into action.
Does anyone know anything about the movement, it looks as though it was put together in a shed.
I'm not used to dealing with gold plate so some advice on cleaning would be great.
I'm guessing it is quite early, but havent seen any other Zodiacs so am not sure.

NICE CATCH!
I've had luck polishing off tarnish with a "silver polish cloth"...They have the dry cleaner built into the cloth, so there is no messy clean-up afterward.
The cloth will get nasty looking over time, but always seems to do the job.
Are the pushers missing?

The buttons are all inset, I don't think they do much other than change the time.
Thanks for the cleaning advice.

Does anybody recognize the module? Also if you look at the close up of the buttons on the inside of the watch they dont touch anything. Am I possibly missing something from inside the watch?
