SS Omega Memomaster 1632 parts

Post08 Jul 2011, 14:06

Does anyone know if there are parts available or better still someone has a beater in their parts box.
I have a working SS version and need a fascia panel and a speaker grill cover. Weirdly the glass is in pretty good condition. Alternatively if someone has the watch and they dont mind scanning it for me I could maybe get some replacement printed onto metal. Also the top half of the clasp is needed

thanks Adam

Omega is still supplying the glass for MemoMasters, so the grill and faceplate may not be too much of a stretch. I bought one of the glasses about a year ago...around $80. I ordered through Otto & Frie, but there are certainly supply houses on your side of the Pond.

Thanks Ed
I looked at Otto and Frei but it looked like I had to call them internationally just to ask. I usually order from jules but they didnt have them. it would be nice to get it finished as the bracelet and case are pretty good original finish. I think the batteries leaked on the inside as the fascia looks like its been cut away, weird. The module was covered in black stuff and the contacts has disintegrated, but with a clean and some new contacts soldered in it happily flickered back to life.

Adam, O & F ordered it from Europe, so somewhere, there is someone holding parts for those on your side of the Pond. My piece [fortunately] was one that had been babied all it's life - I only replaced the glass as the few wisps and flea bites were the only thing holding it back from being mint(with German/English instructions to boot!).

Just tried Omega in UK and they said they cant get hold of either of them. Any other ideas? Also if at all possible could you send me some high res scans or even photos. I think its now possible to have prints onto any thickness of metal, last resort obviously.

many thanks

Adam:
Go back to Otto & Frie. You don't need to call - most of those MemoMaster parts are on their site(don't ask me to go dig for them). Their site is, admittedly, CRAP! for finding stuff. I would suggest you start by finding the correct glass, even if you don't need it, BEFORE contacting them. What you need is the number from your case back - all parts searchs for Omegas start with the 3 digit + 4 digit number on the inside back. Model and metal type can all be determined from those. Searching using "MemoMaster" or the module number will not help in the least. Good luck.

Just rang Otto and Frei (you gotta love Skype) unfortunately they had nothing.
If anyone has a beaten SS Omega Memomaster case in their dead box please give me a shout.
Also if anyone has a memomaster and has time hi res scans of the speaker grill and fascia would be great.

thanks

Hi, I have the same problem as you and wondered if you had been successful in obtaining a front fascia panel. regards, Andrew
