Help with my Seiko 0624 please!

Post22 Oct 2012, 03:22

A while back I bought a nearly NOS Seiko 0624-5009, but the module was dead. I swapped out the module with a NOS one that I picked up from Borel. Recently the battery died, so I went out and bought a new one. Today I installed it, but something is wrong. When the battery is in, the back-light is on permanently, unless I pull out the setting knob which turns the light out. The display does not work. I discovered quite by accident that I could get the display to light up briefly when jiggling the battery around in the bay. Any insight or help would be most greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
'stoph
