Battery plate broken in two pieces, some oxidation on the circuit board.

after some cleaning, and the two halves of the battery plate touch each other now, works good enough :)

Bottom left is light yes :-) I also like these "simple" watches. Stainless steel case, glass crystal.

I always like the interesting reflecter at the back of these earlier lcd watches. It has it's own pattern and catches the eye, plus really sharp contrast with the digits. Great classic find and repair!

I agree that these old ESA LCD were very well made and still cool in appearance.
the reflective mirror on these is my favorite with a honey-comb design.
it is made of transparent acrylic plastic coated silver on the back.
it has a small tube in the plastic for the light bulb so in fact the plastic with the deliberately applied honey-combs act as a prism distributing light farther and more even.

The light does work very good! I really like the ESA modules :)

Every esa module watch I got this far works after some minor tinkering :)
