Casio W-45,pure 80's

Post11 Mar 2013, 19:21

Hi friends....here my latest acquisition (i have it for free)...a very used Casio W-45 with 548 module 50m waterresistant :grin1:
The strap isn't original and the case present a a lot of scratches but the module works fine with the basical function: light, loud alarm, chrono and coutdown.

I change the polarizer because the lcd was very fainty....
I don't know this model ( i'm not an expert about casio lcd watches) but i see in the web that this module was used in g shock model, isnt it?
Also I don't know the release year but a first glance i can suppose that came from 1983....but i'm not sure...i don't found this model in the digitallibrary.
Here some pics

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

Always nice to get a watch for free, congrats :-D
I don't think that the 548 module was ever used in a G-Shock.
But the early G-Shocks did have very similar modules.
