A Casiotronnic day today.. Casiotron S-11

Post28 Sep 2013, 00:04

Some ime ago I came across this Casiotron S-11 in parts; a case without a crystal and caseback, the bezel and a working movement

But with the help of a senior member of our beloved forum I was able to finish the watch with a great looking case and a black bezel instead of my original blue one

and a finishing touch with a (non original to the watch, nevertheless great age matching) Casiotron X-1 bracelet

Thanks for your help, Kasper !! :dwf:

No I did the whole case :-D , just kidding..I had a nos case with glass and everything lying around.
And my time is limited to restore everything I have at home, the result is a stunning watch.

I was wondering if he used my black with gold finish dial or his Blue one? Not easy to see on the pictures.

Btw... I'm pretty sure that I can do the glass as good as the original these days ;-)

I read somewhere that he used the black dail for this watch, i agree it sometimes is hard to see certain colors in pictures.

I believe it is 1976, although the reg number suggests 1975. The earlier models of a practically similar casing didn't have the light option. Im happy this one does as I use it often..

Before receiving your package I planned to use the blue one. But after seeing that beautiful black bezel with its gold lining it was an easy choice :o

Kasper asked me for a better picture. I made one of the S-11 together with a lady friend.

Its a beautiful contrast, the gold and the black. I agree with you on the 0624; although I love wearing the 0624, the S-11 looks and feels better on my wrist.
Thanks again Kasper, and don't forget, I owe you
