Junghans 80's LCD? Info would be appreciated

Post03 Jun 2014, 22:10

Hey there

This Junghans LC is incoming. Its lithium so it will probably work without troubles.
I'm having a hard time finding info on this (beautiful) lcd chrono with its triple colored lcd panel,

It reminds me of the late 1980's Pulsar movements with different colors on the lcd panel. As I haven't seen this particular movement before on any brand, it assumes this movement is manufactured for Junghans and thus unique to the brand (and véry rare). However, I wouldn't be surprised to find its a 'Citizen 7' Junghans branded movement..

I think its 1980's, probably late 80's (1988/89?) Maybe early 90's (1990/92 max)
No idea if this is going to be a keeper (it will show when the digits 'blacken' up) or if it will be a candidate for sale yet, but I am looking forward to its arrival.

Any info would be welcome, thanks!

I don't know a thing about your Junghans other than it is an interesting design. Hope that it comes to life with a new battery.

Kasper, I received the watch today. And, despite the Junghans brand and its appearance, the watch carries a very simple Chinese or Hong kong brand movement. Fully functional though. If youre interested you can have the watch as a gift, just PM me.
