Riquartz gold tone

Post16 Jul 2014, 17:55

Here my new entry: Riquartz gold tone from 1977 or 1978
Bought for only 20 euro and running great. The band isn't original but i choose the best match possible with a black crocodile leather one (i think that back in time was used in this model  ).
The module is the same used by Pulsar dress version with high quartz accuracy...just only time, date and light...

Enjoy :-D

I really like Ricoh, but at the same time i don't like gold plated watch.

It's a good catch, for only 20€, but the module has too much black plastic :grin1:!!

Please, can you tell me it's accuracy? I'm really curious!

Nice watch, I always considered buying a Ricoh LCD.
Perhaps you have a side by side picture of this one and the Pulsar LCD?
I believe the Ricoh will be bigger in size, that's also the reason why I never bought the Pulsar which seems to be tiny.
Surprisingly with the decline in LED sales Pulsar not only decided to in-source Sanyo LED modules but chose the easiest way to earn a buck by ordering Ricoh modules to fit them to a Pulsar case.
In the global World of today almost everything is made that way with only the label/packaging changing color :(

I have both...well the Pulsar lcd 1977 is smaller than this Ricoh (this use a bigger case)...unfortunatly i can't wear my pulsar dress version 'cause i have a very small wrist and the band isn't adjustable enough (due the mesh band!!)....
