Have a look at the editors notes (bottom left) - seems it only held the 'thinnest digital' record for a short while.

interesting stuff !

Liquidled - whats the date on the scan ? I'm guessing at 77/78.

But what amazes me is the price mentioned for the 18k version. A mere $5,000 in 1977/8 was a fortune. I say this becuase I remember my parents buying a whole 4 bedroom house for ?6,000 in 1977. That same house would now be worth around ?300-350k. Maybe my folks should have bought 3 or 4 of them !!!

Also, the Pulsar LED Calculator in 18k gold was initially listed at something daft like $3,500 or so (can anyone upload a price list from 1974/5 of pulsar models ?). I have one 1976 scan which lists it at ?2,000 which seems to correlate to the $ price, as the exchange rate in 1976 was $1.75 to the pound.

Hmmm, interesting. Have you got a stack of old watch articles ?! If so, where did the articles appear ?

No stash of articles :-( ... I just did a search on "Bulova Phantom" in google & came across this weird tobacco site - look at page 15

http://tobaccodocuments.org/nysa_ti_s1/ ... rt_page=15

Note: scroll down to page 15 its just out of sight... Nearly dismissed this site, but decided to do a word search and hay presto.
