Source for Optel LCD displays?

Post25 May 2011, 15:34

Hello all, I'm a newcomer to vintage LCD watches.

I won this watch on eBay. It "works" but the display is shot as it will go entirely dark just from the heat of my hand. If I place the watch in a cool area and the display returns to visibility.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=190531769779&si=MmGKUfrwQ0nLh5obGLwud%252BT4m3s%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT#ht_500wt_1127

I know it's a longshot, but where may I find LCD displays for Optel modules? Or, which vintage LCD watch brands use Optel modules so that I might salvage a display from another broken watch? Thanks.
Wade
