Post25 Feb 2012, 12:35

some of you have this round calculator watch..but can you tell me that the plate with the figures or digits is coated to the backside of the glass or is it a seperate plate behind the glass?

Hi Kasper.
I'm sure I saw one for sale a few years ago with a replacement screen included in the auction.
The replacement screen had the numbers printed on it.

I'm sure this wasn't the news you were hoping for :-(
Rgds.

Only from looking at photos and documentation - but that is the conclusion I came to some time ago - perhaps someone who has peeled one can actually confirm but I think there is an UNPRINTED black metal bezel/LCD surround that sits behind the PRINTED glass. Thats why the ones with broken glass tend to sell cheap............

BTW there's three round Citizen Calculator Cals -

9090 with 23 buttons from about 1976
9130 with 28 buttons from about 1978
9140 with 41 buttons (Scientific) from about 1978
