Buler multifunction chrono with some issues

Post18 May 2012, 13:23

I got this Buler watch, the case cleaned up very nicely, luckily the glass popped off very easily, so I could clean the faceplate.

I saw a watch here with the same module, but I can't find the thread anymore....

The display is very dim sometimes, probably some fiddling with the contacts needed, and the alarm works, but is barely audible, maybe the black transistor thingy with "ad" on it needs to be exchanged?

(Update: I soldered a part from another watch on the circuit board, volume of alarm stays the same, so that doesn't work)

Still a very nice looking watch, almost no scratches on the glass :)

I was looking for that one, couldn't find it :-D Dankjewel :-D

Do you happen to have a pic of the backside of the circuit? Like in my last pic? And what's the name on the module, modutek cal 2100? Just unable to read it.

oke i left it in high res so you could have a look.

first i bought the dynasty watch cause i loved the module :-D months after that i discovered the broken bulova and saw it had the same name on top of the lcd. I gambled and bought the bulova and to my luck it was the same module.
so now i have a module in parts and a working one in the bulova.

if you like i can sent you the parts if you think its worth it.

I bought a pile of NOS watches, all of them not working. But with almost the same module as my half dead buler :)

This one on the right seemed to work.

backs look the same.

Although working, the circuit needed "some" cleaning...

One of the tracks of the light was eaten away too much, but should be fixable with some silver epoxy. But all the other functions work great now, with a loud multi tone alarm :)

Now I can see if I can fix some other modules :)
