Hi everybody. I'm new to the forum, so be gentle with me OK?
Back in the early eighties I was working in Germany and spotted a really cool LCD watch in a jewellers, it had loads of functions more than current LCD had at the time, but the thing that really attracted me to it was a matrix display (15x15 dots I think), which could display one of five or six animated images whenever an alarm went off, where the animation was chosen when you set the alarm. The animations were simple two frame images alternating, but it was still very nice and I spent more than I could really afford to buy it, but over the years and various house moves it seems to have gone AWOL and I would love to find one now that LCDs are back in retro-fashion again.
The animations I can remember were a jet aeroplane with animated jet thrust, a boy and a girl bowing to each other, a bell ringing and I can't remember what the other ones were. I seem to remember that the watch also had a stopwatch and hourly chimes, but I might be wrong on that front.
I have no idea who the manufacturer was or any other details and have had no success finding anything on the Internet, so does anyone have any idea who made this watch and what its model number was so that I can try to source one?
Many thanks
