Hello guys,

I own this vintage Citizen DX-5033, unfortunatelly the module is DEAD! :bang:
I have tried during some months get a new one ... until now I don't have nothing!

It will be great if you can help me with it.

Can you remove the module from the case and photo upload the front and back of the module?

The display looks good still (no leaks, etc...) Did you try fresh brand new battery?

Did you check the clock crystal, maybe that went? Also is there a test point on the module to check the clock?

Did you try the hair dryer trick - heating the whole watch - maybe it has a bad solder joint on it.

Does the display light at all?

Hello, thanks for the reply!
I'm not an expert.. The watch doesn't have the light function (very simple module, only timex and date).
The module is compacted, don't have any screw to open.
I forced it and I was able to open it. It had corrosion, so I started cleaning it with a solution of vinegar, lemon, alchool, water and salt.
Test again and nothing.

A new module it will be great, but probably it will be very hard get a new one.
