if you look at it straight on and catch it so there's no light reflecting on the mirror surface the display looks perfect, but if there's any light reflecting (display looks like a mirror) then it's difficult to see.
That is a perfect description of a dynamic scattering display

There is nothing wrong with it at all, they do all look how you describe if they are in good shape, and they all tend to keep very good time.
