digital Hands. finally i've got one

Post17 Nov 2013, 15:45

Hi to all!!
Yesterday i found a shop with a special watch....i always wanted a digital hands watch but i didn't wanted a casio (except the AX serie but too expensive for me)
So the owner shop shows me a box...with one watch inside...i told him:" Oh my god, finally i found it" ....
Here an Adec (Citizen) in NOS condition with digital hands, date, light, chrono, alarm, timer and chime....the watch is very well built and the caseback says November 1981 (i suppose that serial number are the same of Citizen)
I found the watch with original tag that said:" TOP QUALITY MADE IN JAPAN",great...... :mega: and with original price,96'000 lire (actual 49 euro),so not very economic for that time...
Searching in the web i found this model (branded Citizen) : http://www.digital-watch.com/DWL/1work/ ... 0-083181k/
The watch is the same (branded Citizen) and in the description i found this: "The Citizen 9560 Virtual Ana Digi was the world's first watch to have an LCD analogue display which offered unparalleled accuracy for its time"
In fact the accuracy is +- 15/month (like seiko F serie)
If anyone could help me with major info is welcome.....
Ohhhh....here three pics for you...

a nice one..i also like these digital hands. The only problem with these are that the light is always to little to light up the whole background.
They have to recreate these with a `el` background light.

Cool catch! Adec was a low-shelf brand of Citizen back in the '80s, mostly made for the American and Canadian market. The module is made by Miyota indeed. Now you should add a Texas Instruments Starbust too... :-D
