Citizen black pvd chrono dual time

Post23 Nov 2013, 20:40

Thanks to Simone I am the happy owner of this Citizen Chronograph Dual time (although I haven't been able to figure out this second time mode sofar..)
I was able to make a working movement out of three similar movements, and I had to change the bracelet for another Citizen bracelet of the half 70's

Thanks Simone!

Well... in a way it was; it had one ss replacement link and the lug ends were twisted, also one lug end was bended by a previous owned to make it a better fit?

However, taking a pvd link out of the end of the bracelet would result in one missing main link (they are huge) and a too short bracelet (not to mention the damage to the pvd on the link by bending, due to its material). See picture below.

PVD'd case and bracelet are made out of alumineum, I never saw this before, but interesting -and vulnerable-. So I chose for this one, the best alternative in my stock of Citizen bracelets..

Picture by Simone, one of our Italian friend's epic flee market finds ;)

Chronograph/Dual Time on the face of this is watch misleading- you can't actually have both available at the same time! You have to select either the chronograph or the dual time function as the function available from the setting button when you set the time on the watch. In other words yoy have a watch that can either show the time in two places or a watch with one time/date and the chronograph function. REally nice buttons on the balck PVD model though!- I have one here I have been keeping.

I just love flea market :mega:
Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way
