Early Otron digital

Post08 Aug 2018, 14:02

Got this one in NOS conditions in Genova... Just only a board clean...
Probably one of the first Otron digital watches ever released (before the SolarTime) even if dating is impossible but maybe 1975.Basic functions: only time, date and light. ;-)

Some watches are made to last only as long as they are fashionable
Some watches, simply are not made to last
Seiko watches are designed to withstand the ravages of both time and fashion
Someday perhaps, all watches will be made this way

I have found 2 similar Otrons.
I made 1 of 2, because 1 had a broken glass and broken lcd panel. Both in NOS status, and exact the same dial as this one, exept its in White!

Only the case is a little bit different.

I was searching info about this watch, and also the year, but without any succes..

In swapped working module into the one without broken glass
