Modern LED - your thoughts?

Post02 Jun 2009, 20:50

I ran across this good looking (IMO) modern LED watch on ebay.
I know most of the new stuff is pretty much junk, but something about this one appeals to me.

Does anyone have one of these or any experience with this brand/seller?

No experience, but IMO it's probably only backlit LCD and the picture is photoshopped.
I guess "tumble display" means there is some sort of screen animation before it actually shows time - not everyone's taste...

Here's the company website: http://en.gzweide.com.cn/newEbiz1/EbizPortalFG/portal/html/Profile.html

Edit: your watch is listed here, page 2, model WH845-2, under "LCD Segment Code Color Screen Series".

Hi rewolf,
I hear you, I'm not a fan of the animation feature either. Especially if it can't be turned off. I took a look at the link you provided (thank you!)
and in this picture (see the edges) it's clear that the display is photoshpped. No to mention that all the watches have the exact same display angle.
I'm probably better off keeping my $21.00 USD. (Even if it's only worth $10 these days)
