Junghans Mega 1000 manual time set

Post28 Jul 2009, 10:47

Since I am too far from the station I now need to adjust the time of my Mega 1000 manually. I have not yet found a way to do this. The manual start by preessing T4(12 in the instructon manual) does not seem to work if you have not done an unsuccesful restart first. When I try pressing T4 for >3 sec, I get into Time zone adjustment (8.1 in the instruction manual). How can I adjust the minutes and seconds manually?

The manual says:

12. Manual start
The watch can be manually started after an unsuccessful restart. To do this, press the T4 (=upper left) button to cancel the automatic reception process.
Then press the T4 button again for more than 3 seconds to enter manual start mode.

I haven't tried this yet, just a guess: did you reset the watch before attempting this? It can't recall at the moment how to do this, but it's somewhere in this froum...

Thanks for replying! I did not find a way to reset except changing battery.

I tried with my Mega 1000 (first version).

Manual setting apparently does not work after a manually started sync as instructions suggest.

Instead, I tried a full reset (press all four froont buttons simultaneously for a few seconds). Then, while it tries to sync, press T4 (upper left) button. Then I was able to set time manually.
