HGWC: Battery endurance survey

Post16 Nov 2019, 17:13

Hi all, in particular HGWC owners,

I have had problems with the mileage of my HGWC watch. Initially I blamed the new owner syndrome, but with time, this explanation starts to wear thin.

It also worries me that the low battery warning has never worked on my watch. In most cases, it just goes bonkers for an hour or two before it dies. Once it was OK when I went to bed, and in the morning it was dead.

My batteries have lasted between 19 and 102 days, with an average of about 60. This falls very short of the up to 5 years mentioned in the manual, and is the reason why I start this survey.

How long is the typical battery life expectancy for your HGWC?

Best Regards

Wow,

Haven’t kept track other then 3 cells since I purchased it (on its third now). I was an early user and purchased this in January, 2015, when it came out.

Now, the caveat, I hardly wear it but I keep it powered and check once a month. So the 3 batteries in almost 5 years (January 2020) is a very “limited use” power consumption and very anecdotal.

Love the watch though.

Geoff
