Looks like the PSRs came in faster than the cases as time to marking is critical during this pandemic situation. In a Youtube video interview with Hamilton, they did mention that the Covid19 is definitely impacting their marketing ability but they said for the PSRs they did little or no marketing because of the large following of the vintage Pulsars.

Back to the cases, makes sense to use the new Hamilton PSR cases for both models as IMO this is a huge effort on Hamilton's side to relaunch a classic timepiece in style. Although I also like the classic wood cases as well.

Anyone know if the battery is user replaceable, its a screw back case and if its just one battery it should be simple to change ?

I sent a simple question to Hamilton to ask how long the battery lasts and heard nothing from them.

I did read somewhere the manual says to send the watch back to Hamilton for Battery replacement. Not very convenient if you don't have a service centre in your country.

Whoever bought one enjoy it, looks absolutely fantastic in every way :)

It's a screw back. Manual does not specify the battery type.

It is a screw back case, but Hamilton recommends an authorized service center for battery replacement probably to ensure proper battery type and certifying water resistance test. I'll probably replace it myself when it requires changing as I don't plan on wearing it where it could be compromised by water and it's the same for all my vintage Pulsars. I don't want to break the factory seal just to check the battery type. So that will have to wait for now, or until Hamilton or someone decides to take theirs apart.

I don't ever remember a quartz watch that I have bought in the past and that's hundreds+ :) that didn't mention how long the battery should last approximately. We all know batteries would last a certain time depending on use, wish Hamilton gave as an estimate. If Hamilton replied to my email with me asking how long the battery should last I would have been happy. If they said 2 years I know mine would last 2-3 years because I plan to use it only a few times a week.

I just don't want to send it to Hamilton every year. Every 3 years would be fine, its not the cost, its the hassle.

My guestimate of the battery capacity would be 3 years or possibly 5 given that newer lower power electronics and the hybrid LCD/OLED display. It should reduce the frequency of enabling the OLED display to just low light or evening use. What's actually cool about the vintage Pulsar modules is they had the foresight to incorporate a photo sensor to monitor the ambient light level to maximize power consumption.

Maybe no battery life was listed, is it depends on how many times a day you push the button?
I expect to let my AD change the battery the first time, and ask about the details.

And Yes, it does depend on how many times you press the button, when I was 12-15 years old and got my first LED watch (a cheap brand at the time) I pressed that button many many times a day/night and remember my parents going crazy with all the frequent battery replacements............the good old days :)

Oh man do you bring back memories. When I got my "display model" of the Sears Roebuck Phasar 2000, I to used to frequently see if the LEDs would light up with every push of the button, especially watching the seconds count. How cool was that right?

Damm it, just reordered the Ltd version.
Apparently jewellers have waiting lists for them.Had to pay a bit more than my original order and had to forget specific serial number requests but mines a low number. Glad to have secured it as i think prices will rise once they all go.
Secured one from UK should be in couple days. Possibly destined to become a classic.

Watching for the seconds count ? absolutely, that was my favourite part. Now 40 years later I will still do the same thing.............and its still cool :)

Are you happy with the Red LCD readout, Is it readable in most daylight conditions ?

I'm aware that pressing the button the readout is shown brighter via OLED in dot format for times when the LCD isn't readable.

Hi Yes I am very happy with it. I plan to leave it to my grandson. The readout is a little faint in bright sunlight, but readable, and if you press the button very readable. You will be happy I am sure.
