Synchronar remake from Benlydesign

Post12 Oct 2025, 20:59

Well, I suppose it was bound to happen eventually, a Kickstarter project aiming at creating a "look-alike" of the Synchronar.

I put double quotes around "look-alike", since the design looks more like a Cringeonar than a Synchronar.

Pretty cringey all right. And not likely to inspire confidence, with them having no history of participating in Kickstarter. I backed a nixie watch on Kickstarter which was a complete scam, Kickstarter did nothing.

Well, they are a real company and they are offering the Mk1 for presale on their website:

https://benlydesignwatch.com/

I don't know anything about them or the quality of their products, but they do seem to offer actual, physically real watches.

A quick glance makes me think that the Mk1 uses the same module as their Stargazer.

:dwf:
LED watches are quiet and polite. No ticking, no tocking, no beeping, no buzzing; they will only tell you the time when you ask to see it and they will do so instantly with no attention-seeking animations. A more civilized watch for a more civilized age.
