Nice :mega:

Pity it wasn't produced with a watch function. I am still looking for refills for mine too.

I have another one coming soon, I'll that a few pics of that one.

Also I have an idea on the refill, I'm going to try a test tomorrow.

I think if you take a D2 multipen refill and snip the majority of the body, leaving the nib it might work. It appears to be the right diameter. I was going to plug the end with putty or a glue stick so it doesn't leak out.

I post a few pics if it works out.

Just reporting back on the refill for the Calcu-Pen - Great News !! it works.

If you take a modern ballpoint refill for a multi-function or mini pen the diameter is the same it's just too long.

Measure the new refill against the old refill, mark and snip. I used a glue stick to seal the end, I guess you can use putty or something else.

The biggest challange is keeping the roundness of the refill when cutting. I had to use pliers to keep it back into shape, however next time maybe a plumners copper pipe cutter (small one) or a dremel tool would do less damage to the shape ~:(

Just reinsert into the pen your good to go with your new refill and it looks good ! You can even pick a color or use a highlighter refill.

Good job. I had explained my technique a few years ago - same starting pont as you on the refill but I throw it in the freezer. THen cut with the small, roller type tubing cutter. Scoop out some of the ink at the end, give it a little clean with isopropyl alcohol and fill end with some 5 minute epoxy. Yeah, damn shame no clock function, but then they would be double the price. :grin1:

I did retro leads suggestion on both my restored calcupens. Worked perfectly.

Here is a link so you can see the inside of the pen. Required the removal of the bezel surrounding the keypad. This exposed two screws which anchor the plastic nib in place.
