Tissot Astrolon

Post21 Oct 2020, 17:07

Saw this Tissot Astrolon go through auction earlier. It has a bit of an interesting history in as much as it was gifted by a Tissot Director to Roger Horstmann ( deceased owner of Horstmann Gear, manufacturers of electrical timers, plumbing valves etc in the UK ) What caught my attention was i've seen these with " Idea 2001 " and "Astrolon" even "Research" written on them but not "Switzerland"

Being a special gift from a Tissot Director and being labelled "Synthetic" maybe it was a prototype of the next generation Tissot Idea 2001 watch from Tissot Research labs. Was it on Ebay?

Every watch should have its own story...consequently, a watch collector has to be a good storyteller :)
