Junghans

Post10 Apr 2013, 12:26

Dear Members,

It has being a while since I posted on this site, but in the hope that someone will read my post and be able to offer me some help or advice he goes.

I have a number of Junghans clocks and a watch all radio controlled all of them synchronize and keep perfect time bar one which runs at two seconds fast even after I restart it.

Does anyone know if there is anyone who could service or repair this clock hopefully I will be able to upload photos the clock is a RC-2 Model.

Kind regards

Wally Wharton

Not sure if I can help you, but just for clarity, regarding the one you are having problems with, does it actually synchronise ? If it does, does it immediately jump 2s ahead, or does it gradually gain up to 2s until the next synchronisation ?

Dear Charger,

Many thanks for your interest the clock in question sets it self 2 seconds fast as soon as you reset the clock it does not gain or lose either way but I am finding it very frustrating as I you will see I have a watch, Alarm clock and another mantel clock all of which synchronise perfectly.

Kind regards

I've just realised that the RC-2 is an analogue clock
Bear in mind that I know next to nothing about analogue clocks/watches, but it seems to me that it may just be a matter of pulling the seconds hand off and putting it back on 2s earlier. Obviously the clock should be stopped to do this.

I don't know how practical this would be to do though ?

Dear Charger,

I am not sure if I am brave enough to try that I have pushed the second hand or held it back for two seconds but as soon as the clock resets itself it is two seconds fast !!!

really frustrating
