One barret (pin) of the bracelet was not coming out due to rust. So i had to saw it with a very fine blade.

first i tried to sand the glass but the clips are just to deep so after 2 evening of polishing, i just got rid
of it..i will make new glass.

polished the case for one evening..still not satified..so it need one more evening.

then i decided to use my own special made antimirror glass instead of the original.
Broke 2 trying to use the original rim

the case still needed some work

I decided to use my own magic with the new glass and after a few evenings of sanding..the watch was finished.
Put new flexible transparent rubber glue between the 2 plates to keep it sealed...i not tested it for waterproof but i think she is:-)

now i will wear it forever..damn it's not mine.......you lucky bastard M:)W:)M
btw i left some dents on the case, some were just to deep and i had to take to much material away.

nice job!
to get a near factory finish on the curved edges you'd be better off with a sanding belt allowing a steady grip of the case with both hands.

That looks superb Kasper. I think it's fine that you left a few bumps and dings in the case - it's had a hard life and it's over 40 years old. Now it looks like it's growing old gracefully (and the lucky owner won't be afraid to wear it :-)

Did you make that new crystal yourself? If you did then :mega: :mega: :mega: :mega: :mega: :mega: nice work.

yes...sourced the glass,...added 16 color layers on it in a factory and cut it myself.

It's not as hard as saffier glass but it's harder then organic glass and looks almost invisible at some angles.

Awesome work! And I want one :(
I almost bought one but the seller had second thoughts, very understandable but very sad for me :(
I'm patiently waiting for him to rethink his decision :)

Got one too :)
Gaskets and crystal are available from Cousins, just type in the case number from the inside of the caseback.
