Trying to figure out what module this is...

Post25 Feb 2011, 08:31

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out what module this is. I haven't seen one before, but that's not saying much. I'm still a newbie. It's quite dead. Battery contacts eaten away to little pinprick holes in the board. I'm assuming that's where the contacts connect to the rest of the module. I don't have a clue how to reconnect them, or if there is a way via the other side of the board to deliver power to it. Anyway, if I could identify the module that might help.

Thanks,
Shawn

Dude, that is such a goofy module - I have one here. They operate really funny - you have to hit the setting button(3 oclock) while it is displaying the time, then you press the button at 7 oclock to increment the setting. No idea who made it. I was just looking at it while responding to the thread about the Hughes modules that don't seem to line up with battery hatches....since it is stored right next to a few of those Exonix modules with contacts at the same positions. Odd module, nice display.

Oh, you could just replace it with a Hughes module or many others. :-)

Thanks Ed,

Good to know I'm not the only one that doesn't have a clue with this one. :-D I'll keep my eyes open for a module that fits. I don't have any here. I already went pillaging through some ugly cases for modules and didn't come up with anything. It came from an unusual looking Sears case with a strange pointed oval shaped crystal. A bit funky, the way I like 'em. :-)

Best,
Shawn
