Hughes Comp Chron Calculator Watch

Post09 Mar 2011, 23:24

Hello all,

I just received my activation a few hours ago and was eager to post my first topic. I have a Hughes CC calc watch (stainless) and had a couple of questions..

1. Can you find replacement bands for these? (I would like original but aftermarket will work as well. What size bands do these take?)
2. Does anyone have information or a manual for these? (I've scoured the net but can't find anything)
3. This can probably be answered in question #2, but if not can someone tell me if the date setting on these is just for the day? Mine just reads one single digit '9" for today..

Also I have a "gold" CC that is not working, it was a few days ago but when I went to set it again after changing out the batteries there is no longer any display. Can these still be fixed, and is it worth it?

Thanks for the help.. ;-)

You can find replacement band....depending on your particular case, I might have an original one.
If your module doesn't show an alpha day-of week(e.g. WE) after the date is held for 3-4 seconds, then yours is a strictly date model. There were some with DOW.

The watches goo for $400-1500, depending on condition, function, boxes, paperwork. Since there are more nice case than there are working movements, figure nobody is parting with a working movement for much less than $400.

Many of them can be fixed...since that one worked and died down in a few days, it may very well return to perfect unction with a swap of the quartz crystal osscilator. I do that. :-)
